Regular checkups are very important. A lot changes in your mouth in every six months, a year, or even longer. Even people without teeth still need to come to the dentist and have everything checked because of oral cancer screenings or bone levels, making sure everything stays nice and healthy. Your mouth is a very harsh environment, and we use it more than we use anything else. We talk, we eat, we smile. That is constant use on our teeth, and we got to make sure that we keep that healthy. If you lose your smile, you lose a lot.

At Beaumont Family Dentistry, I think from the time that you step into our office and meet our front desk staff, they're able to answer your questions as far as what your insurance is and how that will relate to your appointment for that day, and they're just very educated and well-knowledged at our front desk but also are very kind and compassionate and just fun to be around. It's nice just to be around people who are kind and want to be around other people, and I think you will definitely experience that with our front desk staff.
And then, I feel like that compassion and care continues on while you're here. When you come back to the dental chair and you are with our hygienist or our assistants or any of our doctors, we want to hear about how you're doing overall but also about what concerns you have and what questions you have. We are here to provide to you not only great quality care but also to be an ear to listen to what questions you may have and concerns you have so that we can help best take care of you.
And then, from that experience from then to the time that you leave, we want to make sure that you're taken care of, and when you leave our office, we want you to know that we've done our very best to take care of you the best that we can and then provide you with any follow-up care you need afterwards.
New patients will be greeted with fresh-baked cookies and a beverage of your choice. Then we’ll give you a tour of the office to get you acquainted with our staff and facilities. We want you to feel right at home.
You’ll then receive a complete dental exam to assess the condition of your mouth. We’ll use the latest equipment like low-radiation digital X-rays and intraoral cameras for a detailed view inside your mouth. Plus, tools like the DIAGNOdent cavity detection system will uncover cavities not visible to the naked eye, and we’ll check for signs of oral cancer with a VELscope. You’ll even be screened for sleep apnea!
We’ll make any recommendations for further diagnosis or treatment if needed. Tiny cavities can often be repaired without any injections, plus we offer gum disease treatment using a combination of deep cleaning, antibiotics, and laser therapy.
You’ll love the gentle cleaning our dental hygienist gives your teeth. We’ll pay special attention to hard-to-reach areas you might miss at home and give you tips to help you maintain good oral hygiene.
Nutritional counseling is also available if needed, as well as help for halitosis (bad breath). We want all of our patients to experience the highest level of oral and overall health.
