Lexington, KY Removable & Implant-Secured Denture Options

Are you missing several or even all of your natural teeth? We can help. Our office offers various types of dentures that will allow you to get back to your normal life. When deciding which option is right for you, you can choose from full removable dentures, partial dentures, implant-retained dentures, or implant-supported dentures, depending on your needs. Our doctors are highly skilled at determining which option will work best and can help you decide which direction to go. Below you will find an explanation for each type of denture we offer.

Full Removable Dentures

This type of denture is the type you have probably heard of or seen before. Full removable dentures are replacement teeth that are set into a piece of plastic that fits into your mouth. Oftentimes, a denture adhesive is required to help keep your replacement teeth in place. Full removable dentures are a great solution for some people who are missing all of their natural teeth, but other people require a more stable foundation.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are designed much like full removable dentures in that you can take them out if necessary. However, as per their name, they only replace some of your teeth. Our partials are designed without a metal clasp, allowing them to fit comfortably in your mouth.

Implant-Retained Dentures

If you have a full arch of teeth that need replaced, implant-retained dentures may be for you. They are designed similarly to full removable dentures, except that they are anchored in your mouth by dental implants. The dental implants are surgically placed into your gums to create a secure foundation for your replacement teeth. Your dentures are then anchored to the implants using ball attachments. This is an extremely reliable, durable way to replace a full arch of teeth. We can even sometimes use these type of dentures to give you a Same Day Smile.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures work similarly to implant-retained dentures except for the way they are attached to the implants. While implant-retained dentures use ball attachments, implant-supported dentures use a bar that clips into the implants. Just like implant-retained dentures, they are used to replace a full arch of teeth and will restore your mouth to a fully functioning state.
