I hope you are all enjoying your summer and looking forward to the Fall and the start of school. With online classes and children at home, many of you are faced with a work:home balancing act.
Several of our employees at Beaumont Family Dentistry are in the same position, so we are going to be making some short term changes to our schedules to allow them to stay home when needed. These changes will be internal and will not affect any of you already scheduled. Please watch for an email soon regarding this.
With COVID still present, we consider our dental teams to be your primary health care providers as we generally see many of you twice a year. We follow the healthy mouth standard and are committed to being responsible for your oral and overall health. The mouth is the Gateway to the entire body and to your health and well being. The throat and salivary glands have been demonstrated to be the sites of the COVID virus replication and transmission. We are here to keep you healthy and safe!
On Tuesday of this past week, the World Health Organization recommended for patients to “delay routine dental care in certain situations due to COVID”. The American Dental Association quickly and respectfully disagreed as, “Dentistry is an essential health care service because Dentists prevent and treat oral diseases which affect systemic health.”
