It’s time. You can’t put it off any longer, or you don’t want to put it off anymore. You are ready.
You are going to get braces to get your crooked teeth in line. You may be a teenager. You may be a young adult in the early stages of a new career. You may even be a little older, but finally in a position where you can fix the teeth that have bothered you for decades.
Before you make a commitment to any treatment, you owe it to yourself to call Beaumont Family Dentistry to schedule a consultation.
If you live in Lexington, Richmond, or anywhere else in Central Kentucky, our dentists may have any orthodontic service that could cut your treatment time considerably.
It’s called Fastbraces®, and it may be just what you are looking for.
What Are Fastbraces?
Fastbraces are braces, but with an important change.
All braces work with a system of bracket and wires. Some also use small rubber bands or ligatures to assist in the process of moving your teeth.
If you looked at someone with traditional braces and someone with Fastbraces, they difference may not be apparent at first. Both use brackets. Both have wires.
The difference is that traditional braces have rectangular brackets while Fastbraces have triangular brackets.
Why does that matter? The triangular brackets change the angle at which the force is applied and the degree of force used to move your teeth.
With rectangular braces, your teeth will be moved in stages. During the first stage, the braces will adjust the position of the crowns of your teeth. On average this takes about a year.
In the second stage, your braces move the roots of your teeth. Again, this will take about a year to complete.
The actual time of any orthodontic treatment will depend on the severity of the misalignment, but it’s safe you to say the most people are looking at wearing traditional braces for about two years.
With Fastbraces, your crowns and your roots move at the same time. This speeds up the process quite a bit. You may be able to complete your treatment in a matter of months instead of a matter of years.
Why Beaumont Family Dentistry?
For starters, we have three convenient locations in Beaumont Centre Circle, Leestown, and Hamburg. No matter where you live in Central Kentucky, one of our offices is probably just a short drive away.
Second, our Dr. Takacs is a Master Affiliate for Fastbraces. What does this mean to you? It means you can trust that you will receive expert care and experienced service if you choose to pursue this treatment with us.
As a Master Affiliate, Dr. Takacs has demonstrated her ability to achieve good results for her patients. She also helps to train other dentists and orthodontists on how to use Fastbraces for her patients.
Dr. Takacs has been serving the dental needs of Central Kentucky for decades, and she has seen a lot of changes in that time. She has said that she believes orthodontic treatment will shift toward Fastbraces from traditional braces in the future.
Other Benefits Of Fastbraces
The technology of the triangular brackets sets Fastbraces apart in the field of orthodontic care.
Since Fastbraces are on your teeth for a shorter amount of time, you also reduce the risk of other oral health issues such as tooth decay around the brackets.
You’ll require fewer visits to the dentist for check-ups, and the single wire design of Fastbraces means you don’t have to worry about painful wire tightenings.
And if that isn’t enough, we have one more reason that we know parents will appreciate.
Fastbraces will save time as they move your or your teen’s teeth from crooked to straight, but they often save you money, too.
It almost sounds too good to be true. You can get an orthodontic treatment that can straighten your teeth in a fraction of the time as traditional braces, and you could get it at a lower cost, too.
We will repeat what we wrote earlier. Before you decide on orthodontic care, schedule a consultation at a Beaumont Family Dentistry close to where you live or work.
