Lexington Dental Office Participating in Salvation Army Christmas Program
LEXINGTON, KY – Lexington’s leading family dental office, Beaumont Family Dentistry, is participating in the Salvation Army’s annual Angel Tree program to give local children a brighter Christmas morning.
From Nov. 18 to Dec. 10, the office will have Angel Tree tags that include the names of either a local boy or girl. The tags also include information about what the child would like for Christmas. Dr. Patricia Takacs, who operates Beaumont Family Dentistry, encourages patients and local community members to stop by the office and select a child to provide for during Christmas.
“This program makes Christmas more special for these children in need,” Dr. Takacs said. “Patients and all of our team members at the office enjoy being able to participate with our program to help the local kids in our community.”
Angel Tree gifts range from clothing, shoes, bikes, video games and action figures to arts and crafts. Participants in the Angel Tree program select a tag and then purchase some of the items on the card for their selected child. The items are then to be returned to Beaumont Family Dentistry unwrapped with the original Angel Tree tag.
Before Christmas, Beaumont Family Dentistry will drop off the presents to the Salvation Army. Volunteers will then disperse the gifts to the families in time for Christmas Day.
Beaumont Family Dentistry has participated in the program for the past three years. Dr. Takacs said her office looks forward to this program every year and hopes to brighten the Christmas Day of several local children and families. The office also participates in Senior Santa for the older residents in the community.
“This program lets local children have a little better Christmas with some help from the great people in this community, many of whom are our wonderful patients,” Dr. Takacs said. “It helps take the burden off of the parents, who may be encountering hard times around the holidays.”

Dr. Takacs credits her grandfather, who was a dentist, for influencing her career path. She attended West Virginia University and was accepted into dental school after her junior year. She went on to graduate from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry with high honors in 1983. Before attending dental school, she worked in a dental office in Vienna and Williamstown, WV.
Dr. Takacs is a Master Affiliate for Fastbraces® and is a speaker for Fastbraces® technology. She is also an Elite Preferred Provider of Invisalign, a certification earned by few dentists. Fastbraces® is designed to reduce orthodontic treatment time from two to three years to three months to a year. Invisalign uses clear aligners that gradually straighten teeth. The treatment is virtually invisible, and the aligners can be easily removed for eating and cleaning.
Dr. Takacs has advanced training from the Spear Learning Continuum and has completed a mini residency in sleep medicine at Tufts University. She holds memberships with the American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, Bluegrass Dental Society, Dental Organization of Conscious Sedation, Academy of Computerized Dentistry, Academy of Gp Orthodontics and Academy of Laser Dentistry.
