Professional staff
Good dental care starts with a professionally-trained staff. That’s exactly what you’ll find at all three Beaumont Family Dentistry offices.
Dr. Patricia Takacs started practicing after graduating with honors from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. She opened her first practice more than 30 years ago, and she continues to serve Lexington and the surrounding area.
She has made a point of staying up to date on dental advances, and she has learned how to treat her patients with care and respect.
Dr. Ryan Golibersuch is also a UK College of Dentistry graduate. He has remained particularly interested in cone beam imaging and CEREC CAD-CAM, which allows patients to complete treatments faster than ever before.
Dr. Jill Miller, another UK dental graduate, excels at patient care, and she has completed special training in lasers, cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, and endodontics.
Dr. Katie Bowen completed her dental studies at UK with high distinction, receiving awards for excellence in periodontology and oral pathology.
Dr. Erica Higginbotham, yet another UK graduate, has been active in dentistry for more than a decade. She also was the recipient of the Quintessence Award in Periodontology and the Award for Oral Diagnosis.
A high-tech family practice
Whether you are 2 or 102, our team is ready to care for you. We start seeing patients when their first teeth come in, and in some cases, we have helped replace teeth that have fallen out.
In addition to routine cleanings and exams, we offer a number of dental services.
We can work with teenagers and adults to provide orthodontic solutions for their teeth.
We offer a number of cosmetic and restorative services, such as crowns, bridges, implants, veneers, and teeth whitening.
We can even complete full mouth restorations for patients who need to make big changes.
As part of our ongoing training and education, we have incorporated the latest technology to give our patients the best dental treatments available in the 21st century.
Ultrasonic scalers are great for cleaning plaque from under your gums in a much more comfortable way than previous techniques.
Our T-Scan computerized bite analysis allows us to see your bite in three dimensions for better diagnosis, which lead to more effective treatments.
Laser dentistry is another development that is both more efficient and more comfortable for patients who would have needed surgery previously. The DIAGNOdent laser also assist us in identifying problems with your teeth without causing you any pain.
And our VELscope helps us examine oral abnormalities, including oral cancer, even if they can’t be seen with the naked eye.
Keeping you comfortable
Of course, quality care isn’t just about what our dentists know. It’s about how we treat you, our patients, when you come in our office. After more than three decades serving Central Kentucky, we’ve learned that comfortable patients are happy patients.
That’s why you’ll get more than a few magazines if you come to our offices.
As you wait next to the fireplace, feel free to try some coffee and fresh-baked cookies. Then just relax into our comfortable leather chairs and couches.
During your treatment, we can offer warm blankets and headphones to take your mind off your procedure.
You also may decide to take advantage of a professional massage therapist to receive an arm or hand massage during your appointment. As an alternative, we offer paraffin treatments as well.
We also know that some patients still feel anxious, nervous, and even afraid when going to the dentist. That’s is why we offer three types of sedation dentistry to help you relax and stay calm.
Nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, and IV sedation can help you ease into the chair and receive the treatment you need to keep your mouth healthy.
