Orthodontics have improved millions of lives across Kentucky. Straighter teeth look better, and often they are healthier, too.
When your bite is correctly aligned, you can clean your teeth more easily, and you are less likely to experience tooth and gum problems. (You still need to brush and floss.)
Lots of people have teeth that are out of alignment for one reason or another. Whether you are a teenager entering high school or a professional in the workforce, we can assist you with ceramic braces.

Why ceramic braces?
Ceramic braces offer many of the same benefits as traditional metal braces, but with one big advantage. Ceramic braces, or clear braces, are less noticeable.
Clear braces will do nearly everything traditional braces will. They can fix crossbites (when some of your top and bottom teeth overlap one another). They can fix crowded teeth. They can straighten crooked teeth. They can close wide gaps between teeth.
For many people, ceramic braces are a subtle but effective orthodontic solution.
It’s OK if you are concerned about your appearance. Wanting to look your best is normal. It makes you human. If you do need braces, metal brackets and wires are impossible to hide. And for some people, the metal is uncomfortable.
Ceramic braces aren’t completely invisible, but they are a less obvious alternative. You will still have a metal wire for your ceramic braces to work. But we’ve seen that the wire alone won’t draw attention the way a mouth full of metal does.
What braces can do for you?
Braces have been a standard in orthodontic care for a reason. They work well on a variety of alignment issues.
Here are some reasons to consider orthodontic treatment:
– Cosmetic improvements. Let’s start with the obvious one. A smile with perfectly straight, perfectly aligned teeth just looks better. This is why people with crooked teeth sometimes feel ashamed of their smiles.
– A healthier smile. A properly aligned bite is about more than appearance. Straight teeth are easier to brush and floss. Food is less likely to become trapped between straight teeth and gums, and that makes plaque and tartar buildup less common.
This buildup can lead to both tooth decay and gum disease if not treated correctly. As is often the case, prevention is the best solution, and straight teeth make preventive efforts much easier.
– More confidence. If you have crooked teeth, you may be more self-aware of the problems with your smile. Maybe you avoid showing your teeth in photos, or maybe you try to avoid social situations because of you don’t want people to see your teeth when you eat or speak.
Having straighter teeth can alleviate some of your anxiety. A straighter smile can restore your confidence, and help you take on whatever you have planned during the day.
Other alternatives
If you feel our ceramic braces are still too noticeable, we do offer more options you may want to consider for your orthodontic treatment. If you are a working adult who doesn’t want anyone to see your braces, then you may want to consider plastic aligners.
The Invisalign® system is a great option for many people who want straighter teeth.
With Invisalign, we make a mold of your teeth. That mold is used to create a series of aligners that gradually push your teeth into a straighter position. You change the aligner every couple weeks. Many people will never know you are wearing anything because the aligners are clear.
