Tooth-Colored Fillings
It is not the end of the world if you get a cavity. But it is important to catch any decay early on while it is still possible to use conservative treatments. Since cavities are often very small and difficult to spot, we employ a sophisticated diagnostic tool called DIAGNOdent to detect cavities. If any areas of decay are identified, we can work fast to set you up with a mercury-free dental filling procedure.
For this procedure we will numb the affected tooth and create a small opening in it, getting rid of all of the decay in the cavity. Once the decay is removed, we will then fill the hole in with a composite resin.
You may remember the days when cavities used to be filled with a metal amalgam. That way is still effective but it doesn’t look so great in your mouth and it contains mercury, which is a concern for many patients. These days, however, we can use tooth-colored composite resin fillings, which are much more attractive and a bit safer to use than traditional metal fillings.
Dental Implants
Nothing will wreck your smile like losing a tooth as an adult. And nothing is better at replacing your missing teeth than dental implants. This involves a minor surgical procedure that leaves you with a permanent anchor for your new smile. We even have an immediate (same-day implant procedure) option that will allow you to leave our office with a brand-new look in just one visit! We can extract any teeth necessary, place dental implants, and load them with a restoration all in just one procedure. This is a great option for patients who need to replace an entire arch or even an entire mouth of teeth.
Implant-Supported Dentures
You can also replace your teeth using implant-supported dentures. Removable dentures can sometimes be slippery and hard to control. Securing them with dental implants ensures that they stay exactly where they are supposed to be. Dr. Takacs will give you more details when you are here for your evaluation. Pain-Free Root Canals
Do you have a bad toothache that won’t go away? You may need a slightly deeper form of restorative dentistry treatment. You see, if tooth decay ever reaches the soft pulp of a tooth, a simple filling will not be enough to prevent infection and ensure that the health of the tooth can be restored. But we will be able to perform what is known as a root canal, which will rid the tooth of infection, replace the tooth’s pulp with an inert material, and seal it off again.
