LEXINGTON, KY — Dr. Dustin Mayrand, an accomplished general dentist, has joined the dental team at Beaumont Family Dentistry to provide more Lexington dental patients access to exceptional dental care.

Beaumont Family Dentistry has three conveniently located offices in the Lexington area, and Dr. Mayrand is now treating patients at the Beaumont location. Dr. Mayrand is skilled in all aspects of general dentistry and is certified to render IV sedation, a service used to help fearful patients or those who need extensive dental treatments completed in one visit.

“Dr. Mayrand has fit in with our talented and compassionate staff, and he has extensive training to render safe, comforting dentistry beneficial to anyone who struggles with dental anxiety,” said Patricia Takacs, who owns Beaumont Family Dentistry.

Dr. Mayrand grew up in Somerset, KY, and graduated from Southwestern High School in 2007. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Kentucky and graduated with distinction from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. In addition to IV sedation, Dr. Mayrand has advanced training in dental implants and surgical procedures.

When he’s not working in the office, he enjoys playing golf, boating on Lake Cumberland, and spending time with his wife, Hannah, and their dog, Calvin.

“I’m excited to join this wonderful dental team and help patients achieve their smile goals, overcome their dental fear, and resolve their dental problems,” Dr. Mayrand said.

Dr. Takacs graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry with high honors in 1983. Before attending dental school, she worked in a dental office in Vienna and Williamstown, WV. She has advanced training from the Spear Learning Continuum and has completed a mini residency in sleep medicine at Tufts University. She holds memberships with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association, American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, Bluegrass Dental Society, Dental Organization of Conscious Sedation, Academy of Computerized Dentistry, Academy of Gp Orthodontics, and Academy of Laser Dentistry, and she recently became a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.
