Consult Lexington Dentist About Receiving Advanced Fastbraces Training
LEXINGTON, KY – Dr. Patricia Takacs, a Lexington family dentist, recently became a dental trainer for a revolutionary orthodontic system that can straighten crooked teeth in just a few months.
Fastbraces uses a unique bracket design and super-elastic wire to dramatically move teeth into a more appropriate position. The treatment can work in as little as 20 weeks. Dr. Takacs is a Master Affiliate of Fastbraces and now trains general dentists and orthodontists on the procedure.
“This is an extremely important service for dentists and orthodontists to have in their tool belt because almost every patient wants straight teeth without having to spend two years or longer in braces,” said Dr. Takacs, who owns Beaumont Family Dentistry. “This is where orthodontic services will continue to shift, so I always advise dentists to begin studying Fastbraces to meet the demands of their patients.”
Dr. Takacs became a Fastbraces trainer in January 2016 and travels twice a month to train general dentists, orthodontists and their dental staff members on Fastbraces.
Fastbraces work so quickly because the braces are designed to move the root and crown of the tooth at the same time. Conventional braces typically move the root and the crown in two different stages, which is why the treatment can take two years or longer to complete.
Dr. Takacs said Fastbraces is ideal for adult patients or teens who want straight teeth in less time. Because the braces are on the teeth for less time, there is less chance of tooth decay or decalcification around the brackets. The treatment requires fewer visits to the office and is also substantially less expensive than traditional braces.
“Larger families with a few kids can easily spend $20,000 on orthodontic services, but Fastbraces allows you and your loved ones to get straighter teeth at half the price,” Dr. Takacs said. “Using Fastbraces, we can achieve dramatic results in just a few months, and because we only use one wire, you don’t have to worry about painful wire tightenings.”
